Athens is the centre of economic and financial centres in Greece with a number of international conference centres and a major trading hub also favoured by the historic port of Piraeus. Today the city counts about 750,000 citizens with an economy that, over the last few years, has registered a great positive trend thanks also to the Travel & Tourism Business but also to large-scale investments in Research and Universities.
