New regulations for entry into Egypt
The Egyptian border authorities will allow entry into the country with the following documents:
- passport with a remaining validity for at least six months from the date of arrival in the country;
- only for tourism, paper version of identity card valid for expatriation with a remaining validity for six months, accompanied by 2 document type photos, in the absence there of an entrance visa will not be issued.
We recommend that you obtain your photos before.
Entry into the country will not be allowed to travellers in possession of:
- electronic version of identity card with a certificate of extension (paper coupon of extension of validity of document),
- paper version of identity card with validity renewed by affixing a stamp on the back of the document.
We recommend in that case to use another type of document (passport) in order to avoid denial of entry at the border.
