Meridiana presents the summer 2013 network
The Company has announced that its complete programming for connections for next summer is on sale now.
Many have been confirmed at the main airports served by the Group, where our presence has increased: Cagliari, Olbia, Catania, Naples, Turin, Verona, Milan (Linate and Malpensa) and Rome remain the ports of reference for the entire national, international and intercontinental network.
For Summer 2013, Sicily and Sardinia will be served by capillary flights to handle the Meridiana group customers.
As for Sardinia, where the Group has two operating bases in Cagliari and Olbia, side by side with the traditional programming that provides flights from the island to main national airports, starting in June, non-stop flights will start up from Kiev to the Costa Smeralda Airport, which will join the normal connections to Nice. Other connections are also expected from Hamburg, London, Paris and Moscow to Olbia, totally new for summer 2013, which will be operative during the Easter season, and during the summer, connections from Moscow to Cagliari have been reconfirmed.
In Sicily, the Group again offers for summer a wide range that sees connections several times daily direct to Catania from Bologna, Naples, Linate, Olbia, Verona, Turin and Rome, while from Palermo you can get to Verona and Milan Linate.
In addition, we stress the continuing increase in our Moldavian market, currently served with daily or several times weekly with flights from Milan Malpensa, Verona and Bologna to Chisinau.
From Turin the summer season will follow the already functioning offer as of this autumn, with a variety of services that will connect the Piedmont capital with Naples, Olbia, Rome and Cagliari.
From Verona, a port of primary importance in Meridiana programming, the recent launch of daily flights to Palermo, and the summer connection to Lampedusa will help strengthen the carrier’s North East position, which already sees service to destinations like Catania, Cagliari, Olbia, Naples and Chisinau, in addition to medium and long haul programming to main leisure destinations.
In Rome the company is offering an ever more consolidated presence in connections to Catania, Turin, Olbia and Cagliari, and to the now traditional medium and long haul leisure destinations.
Furthermore, in the summer the Company network will still be servicing major Mediterranean destinations: Greece, Spain (Crete, Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes, Skiatos, Palma and Menorca) and the Canaries (Fuerteventura and Tenerife), with departures from main Italian airports.
Exotic location holidays will be possible thanks to connections to Cuba (Havana/Holguin), The Dominican Republic (La Romana), Brazil (Fortaleza, Natal), Mauritius, Maldives, Kenya (Mombasa), Honduras (Roatan), Madagascar (Nosy Bè), and Tanzania (Zanzibar).
Lastly, the already traditional bi-weekly connections to New York JFK from Naples and Palermo will still be operating.
