The passport is necessary. For any required changes to the remaining validity of the passport you should inquire in advance at the Embassy or Consulate of the country present in Italy or from your travel agent.

Currency

The currency of Armenia is the Armenian Dram (AMD). If you use a credit card, where you can use it, payments are made in local currency.

Language

The official language is Armenian, Russian is the target language but not in peripheral regions. English is known in Yerevan especially in places frequented by foreigners.

Vaccination and Health precautions

Recommended Vaccinations, after consulting your personal doctor: diptheria, hepatitis A and the B, the anti-rabies (for hunters, zoologists, veterinarians or persons who will stand still in contact with animals). You should not drink water by the public network (even if drunk by the locals) and do not add ice in drinks.

Pets:

if you would like to travel with pets, at arrival in the country, you have to submit to the border authorities the following documents: "International Animal Health Certificate" (CZI), "Health Certificate for the export of cats and dogs accompanying travelers", "Certificate of rabies vaccination" if the animal is over three months old.
